What Defines "sex"?
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines sex as "sexually motivated activity." But Women's and Gender Studies majors realize that sex can be define in different forms and variations. Sex can also be preformed by any gender, race, class, sex etc.
"For some people it’s only penis-in-vagina intercourse. For some people, it’s only penis-in-anus intercourse. For some people, it’s genital rubbing without intercourse. For some people, it includes oral or genital contact. The possibilities are many (Planned Parenthood)." For most majors and minors, it includes all of the above and many others.
For some, it includes masturbation, so here is a short clip eliminating the false assumptions some of us may have about masturbation.

"However you define it, whether that means kissing, touching, or intercourse, sex involves a lot of responsibility (Planned Parenthood)." It’s very important to protect yourself and you need to make decisions about protection before you engage in an form of sexual behavior. There are many forms of protection from birth control to dental dams. Staying protected is the only way to ensure the absence of unplanned pregnancy and STIs (sexually transmitted infections) and HIV.
